Best for: Wildlife viewing, Great Migration

The dry season offers excellent game viewing as animals congregate around water sources. This is also when the Great Migration crosses into the Masai Mara.

Short Rains (November - December)

Best for: Fewer crowds, green landscapes

Brief afternoon showers bring lush vegetation and newborn animals. Good wildlife viewing with fewer tourists.

Long Rains (March - May)

Best for: Bird watching, photography

The wettest months bring spectacular scenery, excellent bird watching, and the lowest rates. Some lodges close during this period.
